Biography.
Higher Education: The University of Texas at Austin (UTA), 1991, BA, Economics. St. Edward’s University, 1996, MBA. UTA, 2005, PhD, Higher Education Administration.
A ten year, postsecondary, administration and management career at UTA in senior administration, including contracts management. Later, consulting for the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
Real Estate: In 1983, licensed to practice real estate in the State of Texas, and in 1985, earned real estate broker’s license from the Texas Real Estate Commission. Sold residential real estate for JB Goodwin Realty, then NPC Realty, and would later became a sole practitioner and own a property management business. Continue to remain active in the real estate industry. Affiliated with the Austin Board of Realtors, the MetroTex Association of Realtors, and the state and national REALTORS® associations. Served as President of homeowners association
Community: Have supported the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Impact Austin, and Hospice Austin. Affiliated with the Travis County Medical Alliance (past member), UTA Littlefield Society, The University of Texas System Chancellor’s Council, and University of Texas Medical Branch President's Council, Deiss Society, and the Sealy Society. Volunteered at the Assistance League of Austin. Support the Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, Austin Pets Alive, and other great causes.
